Meet our Makers
Glasgow-based textile designer Rosana Expósito creates knitwear and accessories using natural fibres and surplus materials from the British textile industry, producing thoughtful pieces in small quantities.
Basket maker Anna Liebmann works from her workshop in Portobello, just outside Edinburgh, creating beautifully crafted baskets from willow. Strong, thoughtful and made slowly by hand, her pieces have a solidity that feels worlds away from the throwaway baskets found on the high street.
Ceramicist Chris Viviani, the maker behind Clod & Pebble, creates quietly beautiful pottery from his studio on a farm in the hills of Ayrshire. His work balances raw, functional earthiness with a pared-back refinement, each piece thrown and finished by hand using carefully sourced materials.
Inside the House of Cheviot factory in Hawick, knitting machines produce long woollen tubes that wriggle out like snakes before passing through the hands of skilled makers who check and finish every pair.
