I think a good lambswool scarf is a must in any wardrobe. These are the best, woven at the Lochcarron mill in Selkirk in the Scottish Borders. They're excellent value for money: soft, sturdy, and they add a bit of flair to any outfit.

Malt is a soft, warm beige that goes with almost anything, and an easy present for someone who doesn't wear tartan.
