Handmade Oval Shopping Basket

Classic oval shopping basket made using traditional techniques and will last a lifetime. Beautiful flow to the sides. Made using entirely organically grown Scottish willow from my patch in Scotland, carries the Scottish Working Woods label. So comfy to carry on your arm even with a good weight in. The base is made in the ‘underfoot’ way, using sturdy willows, and some of the sides wrap into the handle making it really strong. This is an adaptation of a heritage British design. What I was amazed at when I first tried the dimensions was how well it fits the human body- the design has probably been worked out and refined over hundreds of years.
