Gaelic Craobh Letterpress Print
I'm fascinated by Lyndsey Davidson of The Hunter Press. She bought two vintage Heidelberg presses, each weighing around a tonne, on eBay, and now maintains them herself every day in her studio near Dunkeld in Highland Perthshire. From these sturdy old machines she produces the most exquisite stationery. She's mastered an old craft and brought it slap bang into the modern world.
A letterpress wall print of Craobh, the Scottish Gaelic word for tree (pronounced 'kroov').
- Open edition, approx. 24 x 17cm
- Letterpress printed in black ink on 300gsm Gmund cotton paper. Because it's printed by hand, the ink coverage and colour vary slightly between prints
