Each blanket is made from soft merino lambswool and woven by long-established Scottish mills. The focus is on materials, durability and finish. These are pieces made to be used regularly and kept for years.

Made in Scotland by The Isle Mill, a family firm in Scotland which was founded over 200 years ago.

The wool from these throws are from merino sheep, coming generally from Australia and occasionally from New Zealand. The Isle Mill sources its yarns from merchants who specialise in sourcing sustainably enhanced flocks from specific farms that have the necessary accreditation records. The wool is shipped to Scotland where it is carded, spun, dyed and woven. The Isle Mill have tried and will continue to use British wool for certain projects and ranges but in general the fibres are too short which means they give a very rough profile finish as opposed to longer spun yarn in merino, which gives a softer finish
