Anna Liebmann

Handmade Willow Harvest Basket in Mixed Willow with Bark On

Anna Liebmann is extraordinary. She grows her own willow here in Scotland, harvests it, and weaves it into the most wonderful pieces, from the simplest willow star right up to stunning log baskets that have been exhibited in galleries.

Please note: Anna is relocating her workshop, so baskets ordered now may take up to 8 months to reach you. Her usual lead time is shown below and will return once she's settled.

A harvest basket for gathering veg in your garden or allotment, or just carrying your bits and bobs around. It's strong, very light and versatile.

It's the same as the Scottish Willow Harvest Basket and the Harvest Basket in Gold and Green, but woven with a mixture of Scottish or English willows with the bark on, for a natural look. It has a strong handle that the sides are woven into, and a traditional underfoot base, which is super strong.

Anna says, 'I will usually use Carl Jensen or Dicky Meadows for the side stakes and waling, and Bleu for the main weaving on the sides. Carl Jensen and Dicky Meadows are both a greenish colour, while the Bleu usually has a good blue tone, but it depends on the year! So the basket will most likely be greeny blue. If those are unavailable, I will use Black Maul, which is a brownish colour, so the basket will be in shades of green, blue and brown.'

As each basket is made to order, it usually takes about 16 weeks. 46 x 33cm (18" x 13"), 25cm with handles (10").

Delivery: This is one of the few pieces sent to you directly by the maker, rather than by me, so it will arrive separately from anything else you order. Delivery is £10, as free delivery on orders over £70 doesn't apply to willow.

This piece is sent directly by the maker. I'll pass your message on so it can be included with your gift.
