On the Trotternish Peninsula on the Isle of Skye, Eòghainn has spent the last two years working with wood, shaping, refining and finishing each piece by hand.
He began in 2023, at the age of fourteen. His boards are made using timber sourced locally on Skye, alongside wood from Scottish sawmills and merchants working with sustainably managed and traceable materials.
Each piece is carefully worked to bring out the natural character of the wood, the grain, the variation in tone, and the subtle details that make every board distinct.
There is something enduring about a wooden board. It sits between the practical and the considered. Something to serve on and use every day, but also something of real beauty.
